I just received my new Resmed S7 lightwieght unit w/ ultra full face mask...

This is a great community, sitting here at 2 pm on a Sat afternoon testing my system. I love it already, i do not feel like a freak of nature now that I found this community.

I will wear all day and tonight. I have developed a vocal chord proble, this mask has helped it in 3 hours. My son recognized the change.

Have spring water in the unit, just read I need to run out and get distilled water...

Not sure about the heated function yet...had 46 BMI in 60 minutes, believ my unit was set at 13...

any and all help appreciated. Is it ok to use during day hours looking at tv??/

Hi rmship!!!

Welcome to the forum! No freaks of nature here, just good people that are happy to help others and talk of their OSA experiences.

I have the exact cpap as you, but I am using the profile lite gel mask. I love my ResMed S7 lightweight with heated humidity! It is quiet and easy to work with. I am at a pressure setting of 6 right now. I've been on CPAP for, well, getting near 2 weeks now I believe.

I know using the CPAP at ALL sleep times is important, I am unsure if many wear it when awake, but I'm sure others will have input about that. I hope things go well for you and that you start improving in your sleeping. I know I now am sleeping more deeply these days.

Again, WELCOME, and read up on the different posts when you can and feel free to ask questions and tell us all about your experiences.

Yes you can control the heat. With the machine turned OFF, push the heat button and hold it down. You should see a number appear on the screen. Use the left and right arrow buttons to adjust the heat. Mine is on three and that's perfect for me. I've had mine 9 days now, and can't imagine sleeping without it. I don't know how much benefit would be obtained by using it during waking hours. The majority of OSA is caused when the structures in our throat relax during sleep. When we're awake we don't have that problem. But I know what you mean, I feel so good with mine on that I've considered too!

Just adjust the dial for the heated humidity. I have mine on 2, whatever is comfy for you.
