for those following the early days saga, here is part two
After about 3 months on the machine I complained to the consultant that my sinuses were killing me and i was getting headaches so bad that i couldn't tolerate daylight.
He then said to me that there was a simple way of curing that. When I asked what could I do he replied don't use the CPAP machine. I then said I wasn't sure it was a good idea as even though I was suffering I was feeling the benefit of CPAP
He said that is true, tolerate the sinuses and headaches and live because on the sleep study they had done on me he said they stopped counting when I had stopped breathing on average 200 times per hour. The pressure we were told to keep the machine at was at that time was 21
They then precribed a Beconainse Nasal Inhaler and some migraine pills. The headaches receded to a level that i could tolerate light, but even now in very strong light I have to wear very dark sunglasses to go out. And the sinuses well they are happy to give me trouble, but thankfully not so often. Once a month I have to take sudafed for a week and that helps
They always say to me that sudafed is not good with the other meds i am on but heck it helps:)
