Chatting Live - who's who?

Prejudiced jerk I am, is there any way I can see who is chatting live on line without signing in?

Just not sure I want to enter the chat room if there is a fight going on, English lessons or expose's of female undergarments utilized to attache objects to the facial area etc etc.
