I currently have a Mirage Activa mask (shallow cushion) and have had some problems with a sore nose bridge after a few nights. I've tried all different adjustments to take the pressure off my nose, but I'm still having problems. I am pretty sure the shallow cushion is the right size for me. I am thinking about ordering either a Swift or a Vista (neither of which touch my nose bridge) to alternate with my Activa mask.
I tried the Swift briefly during my sleep study and wasn't crazy about it. I have since learned that the sleep tech did not put the Swift on me properly, and she probably didn't use the correct cushion size on me either. I do have some problems with nasal allergies and occasional soreness and irritation, so I'm a little concerned about using something that goes inside my nose. But, from what I've read on the forum, it seems most people tolerate the Swift fairly well.
I also tried the Vista at the DME. It seemed to fit okay and was comfortable, but it seemed like it might be hard to make it maintain a seal. The first time the DME tried it on me, it sealed very well. Later in the appointment when I tried it again, I had problems getting a seal.
Please let me know if you have any opinions or experiences with either of these masks. I realize there is no "perfect mask" for everyone, but I will probably buy whichever mask works well for most forum members.
Which is better - Swift or Vista?
If you are having problems with marks from the Activa you are going to have worse ones with the Vista. In order to make mine work properly it has to be adjusted tight at the bridge which cause a big red mark. I couldn't use the Swift because it hurt my nostrils too much. However, found that moving up to a larger nasal pillow it did seal good.
Hope this helps

Hi Brandy,
When I used a Vista, I had the same problem you mentioned:
The Swift seems to do a much better job than the Vista for more people ...less apt to leak.
I like the Breeze nasal pillows interface, myself (a toss 'n turn side sleeper) but if a person sleeps mostly on their back, the Swift is better for that than the Breeze.
Brandy, I think you've got the right idea - getting another kind of mask to rotate with your Activa. If one mask isn't absolutely comfortable every night, it's sure nice to have a different type mask to use from time to time.

Too often, it leaked air upward toward my eyes. I've seen a few posts by people who get along fine with a Vista. I've seen many posts by those who had the same experience you and I had with it... leaks.I also tried the Vista at the DME.
