Log in problems

Post by TerryFlower51 » Thu Jun 16, 2005 7:01 pm

When I try to log in under my original name Flower51 the answer back is always, "that name is already in use" So I end up posting as TerryFlower51 and not logging in at all. Any clue what I'm doing wrong? Am I sposed to log out somehow after I'm done other than just exiting the site????HELP!!!!

Terry, are you sure you aren't already automatically logged in under that name and are trying to log in again and it's telling you it's already in use because you're already logged in (boy, was that redundant or what???)? Hope you waded through all that and got my message.

Terry, I had to laugh. I am giving you advice about logging in and I wasn't even logged in myself. I am "Guest" who just left you the thought about perhaps trying to log in and being logged in already (above).

Terry "guest" Flower (sorry, had to),
Now I see what you're saying, you're referred to as a guest even when you are signed in. What is up with that? No, I don't expect you to answer that. Sorry. Wish I could be of more assistance to you on this one. Is there a way to contact the webmaster of this site and ask them? Or in the alternative, could you choose, once again, another name and state in your first few posts who you are until everyone relates your new name to you? How crazy is this?

You might also call Johnny and ask him. I would say it sounds like a cookie problem but this site soes not use cookies thankfully. Are you using the right password?

Hi TerryFlower51,

I had log in problems when starting, and think that it is related to the high security settings that I have on my computer.

What I do is go to the top of the page and click the text which says, "Log in to check your private messages". Log in there, then go to the bottom of the page and click on the down arrow that says, "Jump to". Then select the bottom choice, which should say, "CPAP and Sleep Apnea (CLICK HERE TO READ POSTS)". This will jump you to the forum, logged in -- at least this works for me.

You can also log in twice, but that is more annoying to me than the above method. The trick is to get the mesage at the top in blue that says, "Log out [TerryFlower51] -- if you don't have that message, you are still a guest. The site is kind of annoying to get into, but what a great resource -- it is worth the aggravation!

Good luck and I hope that this helps!
Sleep well,

Jane
