In my participation on PAP fora for about 8 years, I have seen many initial postings from newbies. It is unfortunate that the great majority of newly diagnosed patients do not participate in fora(forums) and do not get the benefit of those who can help them.
A big concern is the attitude of a certain percentage of those, who, in any endeavor have a very negative attitude to PAP and will never benefit.
A positive attitude is needed for any chance of benefit.
I once bought online a cpap from an auction from a person who said his dad took one look at it and said he would rather die in his sleep than wear that damn thing.
Those who start with "I cannot" or do not even try will always be doomed to failure.
The recent postings of some who seem to have this attitude need to think about the way they approach any task.
They need to concentrate on what the CAN do rather than quit.
They only have their life to lose with this attitude.
Nad what about Michael Jackson???
Our justice system works fine for some.
I could be wrong....

MJ
Well, my beef with the verdict is this. How many young victims are going to be willing to come forward after watching this travesty? I mean, why bother, who's going to believe me? I feel like human rights have been set back at least 50 years!
If something comes to life in others because of you, then you have made an approach to immortality.

True and worse yet how many more children will get molested because Michael got away with it. I know if I ever get arrested for something I want to be tried in CA.
Now back to the topic, I wonder what the numbers are in the population that have SA and need Cpap. They need a class on this in medical school and they need to steer newbies into these forums. Or get better DME that are schooled in what they are selling.

I agree with all of the above. However, we need to consider one thing. Maybe he didn't do it ! Lets just hope our system can survive.
I went to jury duty carrying a small cardboard box that once had a ring in it. I replaced the ring with some tiny pebbles. Every once in a while I took it out and gave it a shake. After a few shakes the attorny asked what I was doing.
I said to him " Hey , out of 100 of us here you're gonna pick the 12 that are dumber than a box of rocks. To make it easier on you I brought 1 to compare .
He wasn't too happy but the rest of the room sure thought it was funny.

mj trial
Along with a great percent of the people, I think/thought MJ was guilty as sin.
After seeing interviews with several jury members, I am convinced they are sincere and probably gave a proper verdict.
Never thougt I could ever say this, but I think I was influenced by the many reporters and pundits.
The foreperson said he was not saying MJ was not guilty, only that the State did not prove its case beyond a reasonable doubt.
I did not look into the eyes of the accuser or his mother. The jury did.
MJ will be deprived of the life saving things that could save his life in prison and I predict his life will tragically end early. He will still have to look at the man in the mirror.

This is a bit off topic, sorry.
