Hello to all,

Up to now, no way for me to get the remaining apneas durations, since I am only using getting the results thru the Resmed CPAP small screen and not using the Resmed software.
Though, I am convinced that the apnea duration is an important indicator, and I know (from the night of monitoring at the hospital and from the times when the technician comes to my place) that my apenas can last over a minute and average above 30 sec.

I have also looked for the “titration” made in the hospital. I am not sure it was done. The results I have are only talking about apneas number, durations, … but nothing about the needed pressure (which I underdstand as the titration). Did I understand something wrong?

Regards,

Pierre

Pierre, your understanding is right. Titation is the process of trying to find the correct pressure - adding a bit, subtracting a bit, back and forth till the best results are found.

Did you have a mask on at the hospital?

And how are you feeling now?

O.

Pierre, it sounds like you went thru a sleep evaluation overnight at the hospital, but did not during that evaluation wear a mask and use a CPAP. And it sounds like you only spent that one night at the hospital and did not go back for a second night at the hospital wearing the mask and using the CPAP all night.

Rather it sounds like your titration was a home auto titration with the Resmed S8 AutoSet Spirit and mask.

Did the technician who comes to your place take the data card from your machine and replace it w/another? Or did he download the data from the data card to a laptop computer whilst there? If he did you can ask for a copy of those data downloads and they will provide some more data than what is available via the LED screen on your Vantage.

Hello,

Right : I had no mask at the hopital, so for sure, no titration.

The technician looked at the data when he came to my place, even in details. That is where I saw that most of my remaining apnea where longer than 30 seconds.

But based on this, he didn't change anything to the low pressure, which you guys found out immediately.

Best regards,

Pierre

I take it then that he did download your data card to a laptop computer and it was on the laptop's screen that you saw the graph of your apnea durations

In all likelihood he saved that data to your file. That being the case he should be able to print out that data, even now. Perhaps if you asked him to print it out and give you a copy he would do so. That would give you more time to look over and digest the data.
