Regular Bi-Pap vs. Auto Bi-Pap

Post by GuestJB » Fri Dec 28, 2007 3:53 pm

I have been using the RemStar Pro M Series CPAP machine since April. I was recently titrated on a BIPAP Auto adjusting machine. My doctor is prescribing a BIPAP. She's a general practioner and will write a prescription for anything I want. I don't know whether to go for a straight BIPAP machine or an auto BIPAP. The pressure she prescribed is 11/8.

Might as well go for the gusto and get the Auto Bi-PAP. You can configure it in more ways (including straight Bi-PAP) than the plain version.

Den

(5) REMstar Autos w/C-Flex & (6) REMstar Pro 2 CPAPs w/C-Flex - Pressure Setting = 14 cm.
"Passover" Humidification - ResMed Ultra Mirage FF - Encore Pro w/Card Reader & MyEncore software - Chiroflow pillow

I think I will go for the Respironics M Series Bi-Pap Auto with humidifier. Sounds like a good machine. The DME provider wanted to give me a ResMed Malibu but is willing to go with whatever I want.
