erase encore pro card

Post by drzman49 » Mon Dec 17, 2007 9:38 pm

I would like information about how to erase the data on my card.

I am using the encore viewer, and card reader that goes with it.

I don't need the data on the card for many months, just the past couple days at a time.

Do I just reformat my card to erase the data, or is there another approach?

I have the card utility to reformat the card.

Thanks

Dave

Don't have the viewer version, have the pro, if it has Erase or "setup" card, it will wipe or format the card in either mode. Just like a floppy disc of yesterday, you have to format it to use it, or if data seen from it is erratic, I'd want to erase it before recording data to it.

If it is a M series machine, you can erase LCD data without impacting card data.
someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...

Yes just reformat it with mycpap.org utility. Works great!

it is not doing any harm ... why erase it.

it is easier to leave it alone and not need it
then erase it and need it.

just my .02

mycpap.org utility will also let you save it before you erase it. It can be restored if you want it back later.
