My cpap pressure is a straight 10 however in the morning My stomach feels like a hot air balloon. This does not happen when I set apap which has a reading of generally between 9.8 and 10,4 but mostly sits at 10
Just wondering why the difference?
cpap vs apap and gas?
my guess:
while the auto mode shows a similar pressure as cpap mode, the machine offers relief on exhale, if you had reporting you would see you only may spend 30 minutes total (or less) in apnea where that higher pressure is needed.
so the auto runs lower than cpap and only increases when needed. When you see the pressure on the LCD such as 90%, that may still only be for a few minutes, pressure the rest of the time is most likely lower.
use the mode that reduces aerophagia.

someday science will catch up to what I'm saying...
