2nd sleep study -- better the 2nd time around

Post by gregnga » Fri Dec 07, 2007 8:11 am

I just had my 2nd sleep study last night. My first one was in Jan 05. They gave me a Mirage Swift Nasal Pillow mask to use because I have been using the Comfort Lite 2 mask which I forgot to bring. I actually woke up from the sleep study feeling more rested than I normally do at home. Imagine that, feeling rested after a sleep study with wires hanging all over my body instead of feeling like I wanted to go home and go back to bad (like after the 1st sleep study).

I don't know if it went better this time because of the mask or because I knew what to expect from the sleep study and was not intimidated by it.

None the less, I am going to get me a Swift Nasal Pillow mask, I think I like it better than the Comfort Lite 2

I really like the Swift 11 to! You will need to get the headgear and straps perfected so that you don't have alot of leaks. Whatever you do, don't overtighten it or your nose will get extremely sore, well mine does if i'm not careful but I do love that mask I've tried 6 masks in the 4 months i've been on therapy and I keep going back to the Swift 11 ! Be sure and go to padacheek.com so Karen can make you some pad-a-cheeks for your new mask, they are the best, thickest, & most comfy of all out there on the market! Goodluck
