Hi guys, Can you take a look at my numbers

Post by Bws » Thu Dec 06, 2007 9:01 am

Hi Guys, I was using a Resmed Auto machine for about 8 months and I felt I was getting pretty good results/sleep. We had an unfortuniate House fire and I ended up having to replace my machine. I wanted to get my Resmed back but the price through the med supply place was over 2k so I bought the Remstar auto M series from Cpap.com. My pressure is pretty high, my average is 18 and that is what my sleep doc said I should be using. anyway my machine is set for 14-19. This is the Data I am getting from the machine.

system leak Day= 17.9
7 day 54.5
30 day 53.9

APN-HYP
7 Day Ahi 1.5
30 day AHi 1.4

I use the Um Full face mask, And usually have to scre with it to get it to seal.

My thought is I think I just may go back to streight Cpap of 18 for a few weeks and see how it goes.

Anythoughts? Thanks for the Help Blair

Hi Blair.

Sorry to hear about the fire.
Your numbers look pretty good to me. I take it those stats are from the LCD? Do you have software and a card reader?

Yeah, being one who advocates single-pressure whenever possible, I'd say try it and see if the numbers get better. You could also try working up from 14 in stages to see if you can get by with a bit lower pressure.

Good luck,

Be sure you're getting ENOUGH sleep. I've noticed that when my sleep hours are less for a few nights, I get to feeling tired.
