Need a tank for a tank.

Post by oceanpearl » Wed Dec 05, 2007 11:50 am

I have a crack in the humidifier tank for my Remstar CPAP Pro. Anyone have an old tank they would like to trade for masks?

They are warrented for two years, and are not too costly, under $30. Jim

Also, are you SURE it's a crack and not just a molding line on the plastic?
You should be able to make the two sides of a crack move in relation to each other. The mold edge won't budge unless you crack it while testing too vigorously.

I hope it's not a crack.

TerryB,

It's a GOOD chance your rubber O-ring is causing the problem of a LEAK!!!
Take the O-ring out and clean the grove it sets in.... Put a little chapstick on the O-ring and replace... Should HELP the seal 200%

None of my Classics use a "O" ring, the bottom plate is coated. Cracks are haed to detect, if you remove the base, and don't get it square when you reinstall you stress the plastic and it cracks. The solution, don't take the new one apart, use fresh distilled water. Jim
