Please help me understand

I know I'm getting a little picky about info......but which is worse: Too large a pressure range or a high pressure that's set a little too low?
Am I right in assuming that there's no way to answer that question without lots more info (that I might get if I had the software)?
I used to hear that software wasn't available to patients. Is it available now through the company? Is it cheaper to buy it somewhere else?

you might want to check this out - I am not a resmed machine user but I believe this is the correct software ------
