We hear so many problems - I want to relate a simple story of my DME- Ministry Respiratory in Stevens Point WI
my twilight np broke- the little piece where exhaust exits mask fell out or broke or ?? anyhow it is gone- so mask doesnt work
this happened night before last- I used my swift- more leaks but got through the night OK- my wife says please do something- she doesnt like swift because it blows air on her
anyhow- I was going to call the DME yesterday but work was crazy busy and I didnt get a chance until 4:45 last night- explained situation- went to their office and manager gave me a new mask in the box- said bring in broken one in the morning- no charge! wow! not only great service but more than fair handling of the situation
after reading all the stories here about bad service- thought I would relate a good one Packer
[ ps - got my direct TV dish installed yesterday also, so can watch packers -boys game tonight] good day eh?
how about a really good DME story?

And now here is my secret, a very simple secret; it is only with the heart that one can see rightly, what is essential is invisible to the eye.

I also have good dme experiences thus far.
Sleep study had given me the mask I used on second night to bring home, it was a small. The dme swapped it for a medium for me, no hassle.
When I showed up to get xpap they had a remstar machine, I told them there was a mistake, they looked at script and paperwork and within minutes the m series with a-flex was in the office. THey have called after a week to see how things were going, they automatically mail me a new mask every three months unless I want a different style, they even gave me a prepaid envelope to mail back data card.
Aside from manuals given by humidifier and apap machine they also made up there own manuals and quick reference quides regarding terminology, use, service, maintenance, etc.
THey were supper professional and super nice to me and to the others that were theie when I was.
continued care of long island is the name.

Apria is not all bad.
A few months ago I was in Atlantic City, NJ and realized that I had not packed the adaptor for my mask. I called the local Apria office and they asked me to come in. I went in and found that they did not carry that particular mask and didn't have the fitting. The tech jury rigged my mask, which took around a half hour, He then would not charge me for doing it. He just said "have a good vacation".
