Apnea videos

Post by Bookbear » Tue Nov 27, 2007 10:47 pm

If you do a search on "snoring" on YouTube, you find a lot of videos, most of them done as jokes or commented on a objects of humor.... after all, people (almost always guys) who snore are funny, right? It's a hoot to see someone having their life stolen from them, dying by inches in front of you.

One can only hope the subjects of these videos are getting treatment.

This one really tears my heart out... my dad sounded just like this. He was never diagnosed or treated for apnea. After all, snoring is just a joke. All men snore. It's no big deal.

It IS good that we live in the times we do... my dad died thirty years ago. At that time, almost NO doctor looked at snoring as being more than an annoyance. Apnea? Who knew. Even if it WAS diagnosed as a problem, what treatment could be offered? "Sleep on your side. Sleep sitting up. Sleep in separate rooms." May the gods bless cpap inventors and developers.

That's like watching a fish out of water. How awful! I'm sure glad he's gotten treatment.
