Dear All
I'm a bit late replying to this one but I'm using one of the newer S8 II machines (nice and quiet) - I use RS232 to download via cable and had to update the ResScan software as my earlier version would not talk to the new machine.
The later version of ResScan saves each nights detailed data in an individual file. So if you miss a night (by downloading after mid-day) you can still get it the next day by accepting the prompt to overwrite the existing files - because they are individual files you only overwrite the last 5 nights, this fills in any blanks and does not overwrite earlier detailed data. This MAY NOT BE TRUE for ResScan earlier than versions 03.04.007 and I know it was not true for the older Autoscan software - so please don't try it on any other software - you could lose data !!
As a matter of interest what do people use their software for ?
I just use it to check my leak rate, AHI numbers and look at the pressure trace throughout the night. I am using the machine on APAP but look to see if it 'flat lines' on either the upper or lower limits. The ResScan is really OTT for this but it is the only option.
Someone said Resmed are looking at doing a 'cut-down' version for Patients so this maybe a chance to get a 'wish-list' together.
