Petite size mask

Post by Guest » Sun Dec 05, 2004 8:02 pm

I have the Respironics ComfortGel Petite size mask. Are there any other masks out there that are small like this? This one is almost too big for me. It is way down on my upper lip as it is. Just wondering if there are any others out there who have to use petite size masks & if you've found any that work well. Are there child sizes? I almost think that would fit me better if they exist.
Thanks for any help!

Go to cpap.com.

They have a mask comparison chart where you select the model and size of the mask you have and they list what other masks and sizes will work for you.

You can also try calling their toll free help line. They are very helpful. They also have the best prices when you find what you are looking for.

Hello

I understand you are like myself, having a small nose and small face and you are having trouble fitting with your current mask. There's another brand"Profile Lite" that has petite size too.

Do note: with the brand of Proflie Lite the Small size mask is slightly bigger then Petite size. I take "small size" and find it very comfy on my face have a look at this brand. The petite mask may suit you for a mask.Try em.......

Good luck in your quest for a mask that is comfortable to use whist on CPAP treament.
Been on CPAP for a while.....I had moderate apenoa

Thanks for the help! I did look on the CPAP.com comparison chart & found no other petite size masks, so I appreciate your info on the Profile Lite Snuffle-nose. When they tried masks on me, all the smalls were far too big...I wish they had more options in the petite size.

Have you thought of trying a nasal pillow interface like the Breeze or the Swift. They are less dependant on the size of your face.

Take a look at these and see what you think.

You might try the "simplicity" nose mask (I forget who makes this one). It is very small and made of thin silicone-type material and it is designed to fit just around the nose without a large cushion "footprint".

I am nasally challenged as well. They tried me on the petite comfort gel as well. I too found it slipped. I tried a few others and ended up settling for the "Simplicity" It's by respironics by the way. Works wonderful. I've had not too many problems with it. You do however need to adjust it once you're lying down or it won't seal properly.

Consider also the new Fisher Paykel 407. The Swift (Resmed) is also an excellent choice.
