Do you use the SomnoPlus?

Post by dieselgal » Thu Nov 15, 2007 9:54 pm

Someone here the other day said they had purchased this mask and really liked it. It is much cheaper than the Soyala so I thought I would ask if others have tried it and if so what did you think?

If you have tried it does it run small as I have heard the Soyala does?

Anyone?
If not is that because it is not a good mask or just not advertized?

The SomnoPlus is the older version of SomnoTech's nasal mask before the Soyala came out. I have interchanged the cushions on my Soyala nasal and SomnoPlus so the sizing should be the same.

I actually prefer the SomnoPlus myself. I can fit the forehead piece easier (it also isn't as wide). I get fewer leaks at the retaining ring/elbow connection. I prefer the exhaust coming out by the hose over the middle of my face.

The headgear isn't that great so I use two elastic bands; my Soyala headgear is also elastic bands. The connections on the mask where the "headgear" goes is a more brittle plastic than for the Soyala. I assume in time that will break. I do like the quick connect clips on the Soyala and know they will last longer.

If I were to choose each night Soyala nasal or SomnoPlus, until the SomnoPlus breaks, I will choose it. JMHO.
