How long until encore smartcard writes data?

Post by neillebo » Thu Nov 15, 2007 7:15 pm

I know I will find this out in the morning, but i just got the machine and software and played with the apap for 30 minutes on my face. when i tried to see what this looks like on my pc, it says that the smart card has no data.. does it take a few hours for it to xfer info or does it know i'm playing with it.

I check my data as soon as I get up and it's always there. Did you use the ramp? I don't think it records anything until after the ramp is done.

Is this an M Series machine or the older version?
With either model, it should write to the card immediately. With the M Series, it MAY take a while before it converts the data to be visible on the LCD screen. Encore Pro breaks the data into "sessions" if there is more than an hour gap in the time. SO, I'm guessing, the M Series machines MAY wait that hour before making it available on the LCD.

Mine records ramp. Make sure the card is ALL the way in.

On some "M"agics, over 48 hours, it just depends when the vacation dates are set. Jim
