The Statistics
Cardiovalscular Disease:
-Reduction of risk of CVD 27-37% with WHole Grain intake
-Reduction in Cholesterol increased with Barley and Oats due to a specific soluble fiber in those grains (beta glucan).

Diabetes: (reduction in diabetes is due to the vitamins, minerals and anti-oxidants in whole grain, not the fiber)
-Consumption of whole grains is included in recommendations for diabetes prevention.
-21-27% risk reduction by eating 3 servings of whole grain daily.
-Whole grain intake is associated with improved insulin sensitivity.

Cancer:
-Hormone dependent cancers risk reduction 10-40%
-Gastro-intestinal cancers 21-43% risk reduction (if you have colon cancer in your family you better be eating whole grains)

Obesity:
-Higher intakes of whole grains lowers Body Mass Index and Lowers the risk of major weight gain.

All of this information came from research results published in peer reviewed professional research journals (if you are interested in the references I can get that too).

Tip of the week: Select vegetables with more potassium often, such as sweetpotatoes, white potatoes, white beans, tomato products (paste, sauce, and juice), beet greens, soybeans, lima beans, winter squash, spinach, lentils, kidney beans, and split peas.
It is suggested that High Blood Pressure is just as easily caused by consuming too little potassium as too much sodium.

Recommendation is to make 3 servings (3 ounces) of your grains whole each day. The reco is to have 6 servings of grains/day...I say eat 6-servings of whole grain/day.

Hope you all find this valuable.

If you are asking about these, likely they are not whole grain. Only if they say 100% whole grain. These are probably imposters, with refined flour made to sound healthier by adding some honey into them.

Reading labels is something everyone needs to do. Interpreting those labels is not always easy, since they are designed to deceive whenever possible.

Yep ... If it does not state 100% it's not the real deal.

Ask your doctor if xPAP is right for.
Side effects include staying awake all day and asleep all night, reduced snoring, clear thinking, increased energy, decreased blood pressure, reduced chance of stroke or heart attack, possible weight loss, increased libido, overall better quality of life. If you experience any of these side effects, be sure to talk to your friends and family so they can check with their doctor to see if xPAP is right for them.
President-pretender, J. Biden, said "the DNC has built the largest voter fraud organization in US history". Too bad they didn’t build the smartest voter fraud organization and got caught.

Treesap, thanks for the Nabisco links. The Rosemary and Olive Oil Triscuit looks like something that would do nicely for me: Whole wheat, no high fructose corn syrup, pretty low sodium and low fat. Think I'll go look for those tomorrow!

Suz-E-Q, very interesting, especially about the potassium. Thanks so much for posting the information!

Pam
