Sore nose from CPAP.

Post by SleepyGuy » Sat May 21, 2005 8:08 pm

In the last few weeks I've gotten a Mirage Ultra Full Face Mask and I'm now sleeping about 6 hours per night with CPAP. I'm slowly feeling better.

But one odd thing has happened. For over a week the tip of my nose got very red, sore and swollen. The soreness has gone down, but my nose is now literally a different shape from what it used to be. The bottom-center of my nose used to be flat with the sides. Now the bottom-center is significantly lower. Weird.

Has anyone else had problems with a sore nose or swelling?

This is not from anything obvious like rubbing of the mask.

I put a bandaide on my nose every night for that reason.
I have also made a fiber filled anti-noise device for my Mirage full face mask.

I cannot stand this mask so I am now on the search for a gel filled full face mask.
