Is there any advice that I need to have on the Hans Rudolph before I spend money on it?
Do I need to get the accessories for the mask?
My future husband is willing to buy the mask out right for me. He needs to get his sleep since my mask is keeping him and me awake.

That is a Mirage mask. I have one that is farting and making noises and I am allergic to it. I now have a sore on the side of my nose.

So, please no more Mirage masks.

I need a full face that is gel filled and hopefully not silicone.

Hi severeena,
If you don't want a silicone mask do not buy the hans rudolph. it is all silicone.
and there are no gel filled full face masks on the market that I know of.
I have tried the hans rudolph mask and unfortunately, it did not work for me. But I think the problem was fit. I was attracted to the HR partly because of all the sizing options. However, I fell exactly on the line between medium and large. so I tried both. The medium didn't leak, but was a little too small. Since the mask fits under the chin, the top of the mask fell just below the bridge of my nose and was too painful on my nose to wear for the whole night. I then tried the large, with the "sensa seal" attachment that is supposed to prevent leaks around the eyes and basically drop the mask size by half. This combo was more comfortable but leaks around the cheeks.
You have the sizing calipers from HR, right? In my opinion, if your caliper measurement falls in the middle of a mask size it might work. If your size is between mask sizes you may encounter the same difficulties I did...
The customer service at HR is very helpful but are also so proud of their masks that they may overlook it's drawbacks.
good luck!

Thank you Coffee.
I am to take my CPAP with me when I make my appointment. I noticed one person on the forum said to take your pillow and lay down with the mask on to see what happens.
This new DME said they have several types of masks so I will check out all full face masks and hopefully one will be a gel filled mask.

Don't generalize the Activa with the other Mirage masks, it is like no other and I don't see how it would be possible to get a sore from one. There are no pressure points as it inflates. This is THE most popular interface and if you have not tried the "Activa" itself you arfe cheating yourself. IMHO and most everybody I know with SA
