I just had my 101st night on Apap with 100% compliance and my first AHI of 0.0!
I did it using my newest favorite mask, NAII prongs on Bravo tubes mounted in ball cap headgear.
101 day averages:
AHI = 3.1
OAI = 2.6
HI = .5
Time in Apnea = 6.6 minutes
I have gradually moved my settings from the doctor's prescribed 8/20 to 8/13. The auto wants to go lower than 8 on exhalations, but that generates more hypopneas, so 8 it stays. The auto on inhalations never went above 14 and the lower I set it the less pressure it needs to deal with apneas, often with maximum Ipap's of 12 and 90%'s of 11/8. The narrower range allows faster response by the auto and therefore AHI's consistently below 1.5.
My backup masks are the Opus ball cap mod and the ComfortLite2 ball cap mod with nasal pillows.
Thanks to all of my new friends on this forum. It is not an overstatement that I couldn't have had this success without you. You are truly helping to save lives.
101st Night - AHI 0.0
