First Night With F&P FlexiFit HC431 Full Face Mask

Post by LavenderMist » Fri Sep 07, 2007 9:31 am

I had a good night with the mask. I didn't feel as claustrophobic and I thought I would. I have no marks or soreness on the bridge of my nose. Yippee! I think the under chin design is great because I retained the seal. Sizing is everything. Yesterday when the DME rep came out and put the medium size on me it was sputtering all over from the eyes and underneath the chin and he kept trying to readjust to fix leaks. When he changed to small seal it worked like a charm with no more leaks. I'm hoping for a long and successful relationship with this full face mask after 21 months with a nasal mask. Will update if things change.

Now I just have other issues to deal with that are not mask related and I'll put in different post.

Lavender-when I used that mask I got frustrated at times adjusting the headgear. What worked for me was I found the best fit and put a dab of bright nail polish where the straps were and used this as a guide and fitting was a lot "calmer" after that. Just a suggestion!

Lucky you are. I have had no success with 432.

So far my 431 is working for me. I have only had my machine a little over a week and so am still adjusting to things. The only thing I am wondering is my cheeks are now irritated where the mask sits. I am using the medium size and have a good seal. I have tons of allergies -- both food and environmental and was wondering if it is the silicone. I hate the thought of giving up on this mask and was wondering if others had dealt with this and what they did to help.
