The site doesn't make it obvious but it comes with a data cable and you can download "research" software to let you track your sleep cycles over time and whatnot. They're also working on an update to the clock's internal software that would allow it to aid in selecting the best length of time for a power nap.
The sensors are housed in stretchy terry cloth sweatbands so they should be comfy enough to wear in bed. And it comes with two of them (for two separate people) with individual alarm settings for each person. You can choose from several melodies to wake up to and there are even three "sound soothers" to fall asleep to (you can hear the various sounds if you play with their flash demo long enough) The sound soothers supposedly turn themselves off when the clock senses you have fallen asleep. Wouldn't want those electronic crickets to be kept up all night long.
The only drawback seems to be the hefty pricetag... 199 euros... which works out to about $270 at the moment. Still... an interesting gizmo... especially for those of us who are terminal data geeks. I may get one but first I need to make sure it's available with an American plug (or find an adapter for the European type) and of course the cost of shipping and whatnot may stun me into waiting.
