Encore Pro 1.6I Software Question

Post by whatatrip » Sun Sep 02, 2007 12:28 pm

When looking for reports there are the following reports that have no data.
Daily pressures
Daily leak
FLI vs. Press
Daily FLI
Var. Breathing
Secs in Apnea
Av. Apnea Duration

Are they only available on certain machines. I am using a Remstar M series Pro C-flex machine with a Smart Card Reader-USB.

Thanks in advance.

From those report titles, it sounds like you are using MyEncore.....and probably have an older version.

Try this one. You'll have to take out the spaces in the first part of the link after you copy and paste it into your browser.

I agree with Den that you're experiencing the problem with MyEncore, not Encore Pro. However, I don't think you'll have any luck with a more current version of MyEncore, since it hasn't been updated in quite a while and doesn't report the "missing" data from M Series machines.

Instead, I suggest you use James Skinner's Encore Pro Analyzer. You can find it at http://james.istop.com/EncoreProAnalyzer/.

Good luck.

MyEncore v. 1.5B7 WILL work with the Encore Pro 1.6i......BUT, there are problems using it with the M Series machines (it works fine with the "Classic" series machines).....so you'll be better off with the Encore Pro Analyzer in this situation.

Den, I thought you were using the "tank", but wasn't sure and didn't feel like doing a search.

Yeah, I am.....3 of them....(also called "Classic", "Legacy" and "Tank" models)
And, that's where I get messed up sometimes answering these questions......the 1.6i and MyEncore 1.5B7 work fine with the "Tanks", but sometimes forget that the 1.5B7 and the M Series aren't quite compatible. I guess it shows SOME of the information, but not all of it.

"some, but not all" - that's exactly right.

Thanks everyone. The software found at the following link is working very well.

http://james.istop.com/EncoreProAnalyzer/

I am surprised that the Encore software has very little data in its reports compared to EncoreProAnalyzer particularly since it cost $160 and the card reader is $140. Are there more reports and data available to docs and healthcare provders? Surely they must be able to get more info out of it since the data is obviouly there. Or do they have to get the EncoreProAnalyzer also?

Thank you all again.

The reports and data docs and healthcare providers get from Encore Pro are exactly the same that any of us get from Encore Pro. There's nothing additional in it for them.

The doctors and DMEs (equipment providers) wouldn't be the least bit interested in "more" data. In fact, very few of them bother to even glance at the data in Encore Pro in the first place. Just about the only reason a DME ever does a Smart Card download is to prove "compliance" (hours of use) to insurance companies so the DME can continue to collect rental for the machine. Or, if it was a trial on autopap, to glance at the "90th" percentile pressure so the doctor can prescribe a single pressure and have the DME switch the person to a straight cpap machine.

The doctors and DMEs are not generally going to ever bother to look at any of the detailed data Encore Pro yields...the data we are interested in.

Without the Encore Pro program, there is no data to see. The add in programs just give you another way to process the data. In Encore Pro, I am only interested in the Dailies starting on page 4, the rest is window dressing. As Jack Webb used to say, just the facts.

Encore Pro Analyzer, is nice, I espessally like Secs in Apnea and
Av. Apnea Duration. They are the Poor Man's Pulse Ox.
