I Just came across this link while digging up some info on Reslink. It is listed on Resmed Australia's home site as a new product but has the same name as the Vpap Adapt SV you have long had in the US.

Here in Aust they have had at their website for over 18 months a product called the Vpap Autoset CS2 which as far as I could tell was identical to what was in the US the Vpap Adapt SV - I just assumed that Resmed was doing it usual thing of naming the products differently for the Us & other markets as it does with all the S8 models. I believe the Autoset CS2 does display some type of AHI data.

So *it now appears* we in Australia have the Vpap Adapt SV model as well ...

But what I found very interesting is that Resmed's fact sheet for this machine offers the best and most detailed data I have seen yet as to how the Vpap Adapt SV works and in quite a bit of detail. The fact sheet is well worth a rad for the techies among us. It is a PDF doc.

What is interesting data is their statements that the Vpap Adapt will increase pressure *over a few breaths* to keep ventilation on target - also they say ""the default maximum pressure support of 10 cms will fully ventilate a centrally apnic patient with an ope airway and normal lungs" - this says that for a normal person having a central - all it takes is 10 CMS to fully ventilate the patient (fill their lungs with air).
Also this document explained for me the problems that can be experienced with some people using BiLevels (and has happened to me when I used a Vpap set at too high an Ipap & too big an Ipap / Epap gap) - the BiLevel at high pressures can over ventilate the patient (for me I was hitting as high as 40 breaths per min & would wake up in the night feeling super-charged & wide-eyed plus sweating & with a very fast pulse. OK once in a while but too much if it happens several times a night
It is nice to come across a vendor document that offers these type of insights.

#2 - I see the Autoset CS2 is no longer listed from the Resmed Aust home page as an available device even though I was able to google the above link to it.
