OOOPSSSS.... time to panic

Post by fredpb » Fri Aug 24, 2007 6:32 pm

I have the Respironics M Series Plus. I got my card reader and software today.

Worked fine. On the computer.

Now I put the smartcard back in the CPAP and it beeps and flashes all three buttons, and a smartcard symbol is blinking on the LCD.

OOOOPPPP HHHHEEEEELLLLPPPP

Probably means the card is in backwards.

Fixed. Somehow my PC or Encore corrupted the card. I just erased it and all is well.

I have read my tank card every week for 18 months now. I always remove it powered up. No problem. That;s the same handling I needed to take it to the doc for the first year.

Have you tried just unplugging and replugging the machine?

Regards,

Fred, look at your CPAP real good again, have you misidentified your new CAPAP and it is the Respironics M Series Pro w/C-Flex?

'Cause the Plus is not fully data capable. Yes, it has a data card, but it records compliance data only. Your investment in software and cable reader is pretty much a waste with the Plus.

Full Product Description

The REMstar Plus M Series with C-Flex offers optional integrated humidification, optional Encore Pro SmartCard capability for basic compliance reporting, lighted controls, an easy-to-read display and the comfort of C-Flex.
The above info is not quite half way down the page at cpap.com
