Overdue Pur-Sleep Trial Report

Post by kteague » Tue Aug 21, 2007 10:37 pm

I was a part of the second Pur-Sleep trial offer, and have been waiting for the right time to give my full review. Since that time doesn't seem to be in sight, I'll start with a partial.

The first package didn't arrive and Bret was kind enough to send another. I was sitting upright in my recliner the evening it arrived, sniffing and resniffing each of the bottles, trying to decide which one(s) to start with. The next thing I knew it was 2 hours later and I struggled to awaken. I told my daughter, "I feel like I've been drugged". It wasn't till the next day it crossed my mind to wonder if the scents had anything to do with it. I nap in my chair a lot, but I generally wake up without much of a struggle.

I kept waiting for circumstances to settle down so I could give a fair review. I mean, I couldn't expect Pur-Sleep to override my now living in a place that is noisy until the wee morning hours, or to counteract the summer heat with no A/C, or to prevent my bladder from filling after taking a water pill at bedtime, or to stop the dog from chasing the cat up under my bed in the middle of the night, and the list goes on. Then there were the nights I slept in a chair at the hospital at my mother's bedside, and now there will be travel for the funeral. But every night I've been at home I've used the Pur-Sleep and it made going to sleep a welcome pleasant diversion.

I have been using the Peace scent with a little Clear. Due to all the above, my sleep was still fragmented, waking every 1 to 2 hours. But the last two nights I have slept 5 straight hours without an awakening. I look forward to going to sleep tonight to see if I can repeat that plus more.

I had been concerned because I have reactive airways due to a toxic formaldehyde exposure years ago, but I had no adverse reactions to the scents.

I also received some extra items for calming leg movements. Since I am on medication that is controlling the movements right now, I am going to wait till I'm off this med to assess the effectiveness of the other items.

Bret, thank you for allowing me to trial this product. I am enjoying it and looking forward to reporting further in the future.

Kathy

It would be interesting to know just how many of us have come in contact with toxic substances. I am a do-it-yourselfer and have been in different paints, etc. ,etc.

Do we need to take a poll ?

You stated,"I had been concerned because I have reactive airways due to a toxic formaldehyde exposure years ago, but I had no adverse reactions to the scents.

Could there be a corelation?
We can all be angels to one another. ..., the little whisper that says,Go. Ask. Reach out. The world will be a better place for it. And wherever they are, the angels will dance."

Kathy,
Congratulations on trying the Pur-Sleep -- it's a product that, thanks to Bret including me in the trial, I have added to my therapy regimen. I certainly hope that it gives you assistance in achieving better results in therapy.

I offer my condolences for your loss. My mother passed in April, at 90, after 10-years of me caring for her 24-7-365. The passing leaves a huge void, but also prompts the recall of many long forgotten pleasant memories to enjoy through coming months and years.

My prayers are with you.
