Encore Pro Question...Can you chart different masks?
I would like to be able to chart different masks so they can be compared regarding effectiveness, leaks, etc. I am in no way a technical person and I am lucky I was able to install the software and reader. Is there a way to enter the different masks I may wear in order to compare?

Different masks...
I know of no way to enter mask info into the Encore system. One way to track data from different masks would be to use separate Smartcards for each mask. That will allow you to print out separate data for each mask and then compare reports. Just remember to label the Smartcard with which mask it goes with. If you use a different mask without changing the smartcard, the data from each mask will be co-mingled and you'll lose any easy ability to separate it.
Another alternative, if you don't mind losing your long-term data, is to erase the card--starting over from scratch with the different mask. But, since you have the software, you must have a second Smartcard (since one came with the software). That would be the easiest way to compare.
Hope this helps!

Different masks
The software does not appear to have any way for you to add separate comments for each night. But as long as you keep notes as to which mask you use on which night, there should be no need to do anything to your smart card. In fact, even if you switch masks in the middle of the night, the break in the usage chart line should allow you to compare the results pre and post changeover.
Since the smart card appears to keep detailed data for about a week, I make sure I download the data from the card every few days. I print any detail info pages from the report that I don't already have and keep them in a notebook. If you did something like that you could make notes about which mask and the conditions and how well you actually slept - sure would be nice if the software had a spot for that. (I know, the clinician wouldn't have that information and WE aren't supposed to have the software.) Maybe I'll contact Respironics and suggest that for a future update.
