Just checking to make sure that should I decide to order the Swift or Breeze pillows, that it will work with my Resperonics BiPAP pro 2. I think so..was it you, Meister who said you have pillows with yours? Or was it MartiniLover?
<brain fog isn't gone yet>
Also, will the hose I have with my Ultra Mirage full face mask also work with either of these pillow interfaces?
I'm not sure if the hose comes with the mask, or if the hose comes with the BiPAP. I got all of mine together as one package.
I left a call with my DME provider to call me back about exchanging the large mask for the medium. She's probably still cussing and stomping around after hearing the message. I know I haven't heard from her yet.
Another check. I can order the pillow interface from cpap.com without a script, right? It's only the Xpap one has to have a script for, correct?
Last night wasn't good for me. I used the Kleenex to stuff in the leaky area, but didn't get a seal this time. I fiddled and fiddled with it, but I ended up throwing the mask off after about 2 hours. It was leaking so bad I wasn't getting therapy anyway.
I really noticed a difference from the ONE night everything worked. I awoke feeling rested. I sure feel awful today. That tells me therapy, once attained, will be great.

As for the question about the hose fitting, yes, any main air hose (the big long hose that starts from the machine or from the humidifier) should connect fine to every mask (directly or to the narrow diameter hose that comes with nasal pillows masks) except the Comfort Curve mask. The Comfort Curve requires its own custom long hose which comes with it.
Most people can use any mask with any machine for good results. One of the biggest exceptions (I think I've read) seems to be in trying to use a Fisher & Paykel HC 431 full face mask with some types of machines. Seems that I've read it can be a problem at low pressures because of the way the anti-asphyxiation valve in that particular mask flaps open/closed with machines that are not delivering one straight pressure a la straight cpap. My apologies to F&P if I'm remembering what I've read wrong.
Since you're using a BiPap, photogal, you should be good to go with any nasal pillows interface...Swift, Breeze, Aura, etc.
The main air hose does not come with a mask except the Comfort Curve which has it's own odd diameter 6 foot air hose with it.
The short (a foot long or less) smaller diameter connector hose that is part of the Swift, Breeze, and Aura, come with those masks, and are designed to connect just fine to any 6 foot long main air hose you already have.

Thanks for the info. Little by little, I'm learning my way around the Pap world, thanks to all of you.
I found out from my DME that I can get a new mask via insurance in 6 months, but if I decide to try the pillows/chin strap/tape route, I don't want to wait that long. I will own my Ultra Mirage, may order the Swift, then if I feel like trying the Breeze, I can get that through insurance in another 6 months. I just may have to build a 3-mask garage.

I use the BiPap, with:
1. Nasal Aire II, which is my current favorite, (90 percent)
2. Respironic Profile Lite Gel which is a gel mask. (Bothers my upper lip.)
3, The Breeze, which I haven't been able to use. It hurts my nose, so I have new pillows on order to replace the large pillows it came with. (Anyone want the LARGE pillows, they have been used three times, and I am sure with a little soap and hot water they would make someone happy. PM me and I'll get them to you.)
I am going to get the Comfort Curve after reading all the good things about it. Can hardly wait!
All do work with the BiPap machine.
Just wish I could find the "RIGHT" mask!

Pillows work great with BiPAPs for me- I've use Breeze, Comfortlite, Snapp, and now Swift. I haven't used a regular nasal mask more then 2 or 3 times in the past year...and one of those nights I was in the hospital using their disposible one size fits all nasal mask. I loved my UltraMirage and Mirage Activa way back when but every time I try to use them now the bridge of my nose protest big time.
