This seems to be an idiot questions, but... The off/on button on my machine either fully engages it or leaves in on standby. In the morning what do most people do? To turn it off fully I would need to unplug it.
Sincerely,

Just leave it in "standby"
It's not really in standby; it just has the lights on. No need to unplug it, as nothing is actually "active" in the "off" mode. (and you can turn the lights off if you want - just hold down the 'ramp' button when in standby mode. I sure wish they backlit the LCD display as well as the buttons).
