needing a root canal

Post by auntiebeccaneedssleep » Mon Apr 04, 2005 2:19 am

I am in pain because I need a root canal done. I will be going to bed soon, and I am nervous about wearing my nose mask because I don't want any extra pressure on my face. Any ideas out there?

After dental surgery, I used both an F&P 405 & Swift without too much discomfort. Just slept on the side where there was less tension.

Thank you for the tip. I will try that. Just curious, what time zone are you in? I am in Hawaii, so it's still Sunday night here.

I am in the Eastern Time zone which just started daylight saving time.

Having had a root canal, and discussing the causes with the dentist, the cause of your pain is a build up of pus in the canal. Most dentists will put you on antibiotics to get rid of this infection before they do the procedure. This will eliminate the infection causing the pus and thus the pressure in the canal and the pain.

It is vital that you get this procedure done as soon as possible since the infection can possibly spread into your nasal cavity and then to your brain.
If you cannot afford the cost of the root canal, have them pull the tooth.
