Did I get rooked ?

Just bought Remstar Plus -- from supply division of hospital Was told it was a new machine. Plugged it in at home and the display had the number 180. Thought it was some sort of code. After using it an hour, the number changed to 181..... Duh. Machine cost alone was $1500. Insurance covered it. Very little patient education involved in the whole transaction. But I did specify I wanted a new machine. Supplier stated 4 times that it was new. They gave me no choice as to model etc. Any gentle advice ??
