Hello to all:

I am a CPAP user now since June of '04. I've got the ResMed S6 Lightweight unit, and I sometimes use a ResMed MirageUltra nose mask, but usually I prefer the Mirage Ultra nose and mouth mask because there's no pressure on the skin between my upper lip and my nose with that one. I'm pretty comfortable wearing my mask and I can say that I have had 100% compliance since I started back in June, and I can say that I sleep much better with my mask because I can dream now whereas back when I was apnic this wasn't happening. After the last 6 months I can say that wearing my mask is no big deal to me anymore because I've gotten so used to it now that it's quite comfortable and it feels good on my face. Hi Windflyer,

Welcome to the messege board.

Your story is a good one. You seem to have worked out the initial kinks early on and now you dream like a baby. That is fantastic.

Getting used to the machine is not always easily accomplished. I have been using one for several years, and it feels like second nature.
