If you search Google Australia (http://www.google.com.au/) for 'AutoScan Resmed Cpap', you are likely to come up with some vendors who will sell to US citizens; I can only assume that they will also sell to someone in the UK. If you need more (or more specific) information, please respond either in this thread or via private message (which would require registration.) There is another option available for the card reader - http://securetech-corp.com/acr38.html is one place that sells them. It is lacking a plastic guide for the smaller ResMed card, but is otherwise the same reader.New Boy wrote:I will have to get a smartcard reader and software somehow.

Re: My Update
"I keep putting the mask back on for another hit." LOL!!! Wonderful description of getting hooked on BREATHING!kteague wrote:if you read my most recent thread, just this week I'm using a marriage of the Breeze nosepiece with the CL2 headgear that is working for me beyond my expectations. My sleep is still segmented, but is so deep and good that it's like a drug. I keep putting the mask back on for another hit. When I wake up my night's sleep is not ruined - I go right back into that wonderful sleep. I fully expect rapid progress from this time forth. Bout time - started cpap treatment in Sept. 2005. Better late than never.
And thanks to those here who wouldn't let me give up.

Having used both ResMed's AutoScan V5.7 as well as Respironics' EncorePro (with the INVALUABLE add-ons; Derek's splendid MyEncore and James' wonderful Encore Pro Analyzer), I will say that I found AutoScan to be of much more limited usefulness than I found the EncorePro suite to be. (No doubt, this will provoke an argument from Doug).
AutoScan will give you detail data for the preceding seven nights, as will Encore Pro, and this is in itself, very useful. But there the similarity ends. EncorePro and its add-ons (which work ONLY with REMstars) provides a much more useful array of summary data, in my opinion.
So, if it were me, I would NOT invest the money in AutoScan. However, the usefulness of the data readily displayed on ResMed's LCD display (and WITHOUT the need for an outboard computer, software and card-reader) BLOWS AWAY the Respironics machines, again in my opinion. Some creative work with a spreadsheet such as Microsoft Excel with give you an array of data approaching EncorePro in usefulness, and without the need to jump through hoops and the expense of purchasing Resmed's AutoScan software from a dealer in Oz, and having it shipped to the UK (or anywhere else, for that matter).
Hope this helps.
