User Mode on Resmed VPAP

Post by LabDog » Wed Dec 06, 2006 8:58 am

Does anyone know how to access the user or clinician mode on a Resmed VPAP and/or check or change settings?

When and If You Do Find Out How .....

.... be sure you write each one down before moving to the next one so that if you "inadvertently" change a setting you know what the sleep lab intended the settings to be.

I don't have the same PAP machine as you but I accidentally erased my Reminders the first time I went in to that menu and had to 'fess up to the DME's RT to get them and reset them. Not that that was critical or anything but since I'd forget my head if it wasn't attached ..... "I" need them.

I'm looking for access to this mode on the Resmed S8 Elite. Having watched my provider entering this mode it looks like it's a matter of pressing a combination of the control keys, but my provider refuses to let me in on the secret.

This won't get you into the Clinician's SetUp menu but it will get you the Usage Data and Efficacy Data:

Press the Left and Right buttons and hold for 3-4 seconds. The Efficacy Data menu will come up on the LED screen. From there the button use is pretty self-explanatory. Just be sure to do this before noon and these machines work on a 24 hour noon to noon clock. After noon the Efficacy Data for that night goes into the averages.

The Efficacy Data will give you your average pressure, average leak and AHI, AI and HI for the night, week, month, 6 months and 1 year.

Slinky told you right about the buttons to access the User menu on resmed machines.

For the clinician menu, it's the center down-arrow button (black) and the righthand button (red) together for several seconds.
