CPAP Repair Service?

Post by Kiralynx » Sat Oct 31, 2026 1:00 pm

Back around 2018 or 2019, my 950/960 was knocked off the night stand by a motel cleaner. My DME got me a rental, but could do nothing to check damage on my machine. Someone here recommended a location. I sent it to them, and yes, there was damage, which they fixed and that machine is still serving as a backup today.

I can't find the repair place's info.

I hate the Resmed ASV. The water chamber is too small -- it does not matter what setting I put it on, it runs out of water at 3 hours. And I wake up with gums and back of my throat dry as dust. I tried getting an extra chamber, which is a pain in the keister to change out. Because.... tah dah! The Resmed humidifier is NOT designed to be set up one-handed.

Why one-handed? Well, my long-planned trip to Canada was banjaxed 5 days in by a malfunctioning mobility scooter which dumped me on rocks from a height of about 4 feet. (There was NO safety rail on the patio.) Right arm broken in two places, T11 vertebra burst fracture. And an utterly shattered left arm which required a full shoulder replacement. Right arm and vertebra have healed. Left arm, another 3-6 months.

Please note: I have dry mouth whether I use nasal pillows or a full face mask. I've never had that, in 18 years on an ASV.

The disrupted sleep is causing the pain from the surgery to be very bad. Plus, when I tried to change the chamber, I almost burned my fingers on the metal part as I worked the chamber loose.

So last night, I dug out my older Respironics and set it up. First, it can be set up one-handed. Second, the water chamber holds 3-4 times the water of the Resmed. Third, I did not wake up with dry mouth and pain multiple times.

The Resmed shouldn't be damaged. (It wasn't on the scooter with me!) I have only been using it since June, and it shouldn't be malfunctioning and overheating. But it's basically useless as it is. Well, except maybe as a nap-time machine.

So does anyone know the name and contact for the repair folks?
