If you are now having difficulty carrying 5 jugs at one time, may I suggest making two trips from your car to your house?
Should I carry three on the first trip and two on the second trip? Or should I carry two on the first trip and three on the second trip?
Get some extra movement in and make 5 trips...

I would carry two and a half each trip.

Ah, got it! I will carry one in, empty half in an empty container, carry the half of the new container to the truck, pick up two, and carry two and a half in. Then, I will take the half back to the truck, and carry two and a half in. To make Conrad happy, I will take one to the truck and carry it back and forth five times.

As I said to the waiter, "This butter is really good."

Waiter: "Actually, it's ghee."

Me: "Ah! Thanks for clarifying."

FWIW and likely nothing will come of it, I messaged Walmart corporate with a complaint about the new jugs.

"I use distilled water in a CPAP. Walmart has changed the 1 gallon jug from an easy to pour to one that is difficult to pour, particularly for those that are elderly and may have arthritis in hands or other issues with grip/strength. Many CPAP users are elderly (I'm 78). The plastic of the jug is quite thin and compresses easily when gripping the sides to pour which can cause the water to spill. These are evidently stacked in shipment and I had bought one that the top was pushed in and when opened water spilled out. The cheap jugs I would guess was a cost savings move. It may save Walmart a few cents, but is an aggravation to the end user. I'm on a CPAP public forum and these new containers were a recent topic for the reasons I mention above. No one seems to like the new jug. Please consider returning to the original style jug which is more ergonomic for the older population. Side note..local grocery store is 8 cents cheaper than Walmart for a gallon as well as many other items are less"
Corporate probably won't move fast, but a pile of complaints is harder to ignore than one. The crushed tops alone sound like a shipping problem, not just an awkward redesign.

I did get a response back from Walmart customer service and they said they are reviewing the new jug complaint I submitted. Have my doubts anything will change.

I hope Walmart is looking at the reviews on their own website. The 1,2,3 star reviews have numerous complaints about the change of the jug

The rumors involving compromising positions and compromising national security were never substantiated, so I think we can all agree to see it either way.
