You should be able to send and receive PMs by now.
If you still can't now post here again and I will have to look into the problem.
I don't have administrator privileges....only moderator.
I will have to refer to higher ups.

try to send me a PM.

Who are you trying to send a PM to and can't? If you can post here you should be able to send PMs unless that person isn't accepting PMs.

Being the weekend the person that could maybe fix the problem isn't working so I need to try to troubleshoot as best I can.

Are you getting any sort of message when you try to send PM to me or the person you are wanting to send a PM to?
If so...what does the message say.

Or is it saying it is sent but still in your outbox and hasn't moved to the "sent" box. If that's what is happening then that is normal and just means the person you sent the PM to hasn't read it yet. PMs don't move out of the outbox to the sent box until the recipient opens and reads the PMs.

I've sent to bluebird000 and forumadmin. All still in the outbox, but not in the sent box. If that's normal, okay.
Thanks

There is no formal forum administrator now that I know if so don't be surprised if it never leaves your outbox. Carolyn is no longer working as administrator and I don't know if they have anyone else.

And this is normal...It's how we can tell if someone reads or opens our PMs. I don't have the powers to check on bluebird to see if he/she has read your PM or not but we do have new people who panic when they don't see that the message moves out of the outbox into the sent box.
I did check and the last time he/she logged on here was Oct 26, 2026 at approx 9:30 PM. If you sent it after that then that would explain it and if you sent it before that then he/she didn't open it.

FWIW, a quick glance at the bottom of every forum page indicates that this forum runs on phpBB® Forum Software.

This tidbit from the PM Folders section of the phpBB User Guide (which can also be found by clicking through the phpBB link at the bottom of this page) is relevant to the topic at hand:
phpBB User Guide wrote:Just like in your e-mail client, all private messages are stored in folders. Working with folders is similar to working with forums in phpBB 3.0. The Inbox is your default incoming message folder. All messages you receive will appear in here.

Sent messages will appear in either the Outbox or the Sent messages folder. As long as the recipient(s) have not yet read the message, it will stay in the Outbox. As soon as someone reads the message it will be archived to the Sent messages folder. If the administrator allows it, you can edit messages after sending them as long as they are in the Outbox and the recipients have not yet read them.
