Could really use some advice based on OSCAR report

Post by twisti99 » Thu Sep 03, 2026 11:30 pm

Hi everyone,
I just started out my CPAP journey. Its day 5 and I am doing ok, but getting a high number of CAs.
I also have this problem (had it for many years now) where I wake up around 2-3am. You can see in the attached report that I stop the machine around 2:15am because I had woken up.
I am trialing a Resmed Airsense 11 Autoset with a P10 mask. I am using mouth tape as well.

Should I try lowering my pressure to reduce CAs?
Any recommendations would be appreciated.

Only if it's the higher pressure that is triggering the CAs/Centrals will it help any at all and I seriously doubt that it's the pressure that is the culprit.
I would bet my last dollar that those centrals are post arousal centrals and you weren't sound asleep.
Read this thread.

You first have to figure out if those flagged centrals/CAs are real asleep centrals or related to arousal or post arousal breathing where you weren't sound asleep. If you weren't sound asleep that doesn't count for much of anything except to show you weren't sleeping soundly.
