High Leak Rate with New Airsense 11

Post by DaveDzRochNY26 » Wed Jul 29, 2026 1:03 pm

Hello at CPAP Talk...

Long-time CPAP user (pre-2000) and trying to figure this out.

I put an Airsense 11 unit into use on July 8, 2026. For the 6
previous years, it was Airsense 10.

Starting that night, my leak rates escalated immediately:

Here is an example from the Airsense 10:

And here is one from the Airsense 11:

I am using the SAME mask 10 to 11.
Comfort settings on 11 same as 10.
Pressure: 12.
AHI shows no real change + or - from 10 to 11 (range from 0 to 2, max on both)
Leak-tested the new Climateline hose and it's solid.
No leaks detected from humidifier.

Is it at all possible the leak detection sensor is wonky on the 11?

My thought is that is it is the unit itself, the leak rate would be
much more linear in appearance.

As mentioned: SAME mask from 10 to 11. (Same bed, pillows,
sheets, cats, internal temp and humidity.)

I could simply be happy with the low AHI and ignore the sudden
change... but what MIGHT be happening here?

Thank you!... and I'll be looking for any help.

Dave

Are both machines configured for the same mask type? (You didn't say.)

Yes... "Pillows" on both 10 and 11.

I am considering putting the Airsense 10 back into service
and observe the leak rate for a few nights.
