I’m curious whether anyone here has found snoring recordings useful when looking at CPAP results.
I’m working on an iPhone app that records snoring/breathing sounds overnight, but I’m very aware that audio alone can’t diagnose apnea or replace machine data.
The question is more practical: if someone has OSCAR data showing AHI, leaks, pressure, etc., could audio clips/timing add useful context? For example, “I still snored around 3am when pressure rose,” or “the machine data looks fine but the audio sounds rough.”
Or do most experienced CPAP users find audio apps basically useless compared with proper machine data?
Honest criticism welcome. I’d rather hear the limitations from people who actually understand CPAP.
Can overnight snoring audio add anything useful alongside CPAP/OSCAR data?

OSCAR already has a Snore graph on the Daily View; I don't see any added value in an audio recording.
