Six-year-old Airsense 10 sometimes undercounting usage hours

Post by cpap450 » Sun Apr 26, 2026 8:11 am

I have an Airsense 10 purchased new in late 2019. It has almost 20,000 total usage hours and I have a replacement on its way. For the past month, every now and then - 0-2 times a week - it will greatly undercount my usage hours. I normally have the mask on from around 10 at night to 6 in the morning (8 hours), but it will "credit" me with way below that, like 2-5 hours. This reason alone made me look at the total usage hours, which made me order a replacement.

Is this a "known" problem with others? There are no other functional problems that I've noticed with the unit. It certainly delivers CPAP support consistently and I've never sense it's shut off. It's definitely running when I take the mask off in the morning.

Where are you seeing the number of hours of use not being reported?
On the machine LCD screen or other software source???
On the morning where it seems to be under reported on the LCD screen was the machine turned off and some point in the night???
Bathroom break maybe? The LCD Screen report isn't always accurate when their was a time the machine got turned off for some reason and then restarted.

The reported hours were on my MyAir app and web site. I rarely get out of bed overnight, maybe 1-2 times a month. I know the most-recent undercount was a night where I never got up, and had about 8 1/2 hours of usage. In general when I remove my mask, I turn the machine off so as to not wake my wife, and I've never had the undercount until about a month ago

MyAir has been known to be flaky at times with reporting so if it were me I would also verify with OSCAR software to see what it says usage was.

Of course it wouldn't be impossible for the machine (with that amount of run hours showing) to simply just not working accurately at times for whatever reason.

I have seen reports from people that say MyAir isn't correct and when using OSCAR for reviewing usage it showed correctly so the problem was with MyAir end of things.

Under reporting is NOT all that common though. It's not something we see a lot of. Probably a good thing to have the replacement on the way though
