Hello - I haven't looked at my OSCAR charts for a while and would love any feedback on how my data from last night is looking. Have used imgur to provide screenshots from OSCAR.

Seeking input on how I am going RE CPAP use
Re: Seeking input on how I am going RE CPAP use
Nothing of any great excitement on that report.
How are you sleeping and feeling. If decently then I don't see any need to go doing anything with the settings.

Thanks Pugsy. Have you heard of the Glasgow Index? I input the data from my SD card into it today and didn't get as good a result as I was thinking I would, hence my interest in getting some feedback on my OSCAR data from last night. Here is a link RE the Glasgow Index: https://www.fortaspen.com/sleep/Intro.html
Re: Seeking input on how I am going RE CPAP use
I have heard of the Glasgow index but only in passing. I can't really comment on its results since I don't understand it or have any idea how it works or what it actually means.
I go on how I feel and how I slept more than I do numbers.

Re: Seeking input on how I am going RE CPAP use
I've been playing with the Glasgow index for a while. My issue with it is the data isn't really actionable, i.e. it may show something undesirable but there's no real way to work on improving it, at least that I can find or figure out. My index is pretty consistent across APAP, CPAP and ASV at dominated by variable amplitude. But since it doesn't really change even with radical treatment changes I'm not sure it has much value in terms of optimizing things.
I'm using the steady breathing display in OSCAR. Its a pretty good indicator of deep sleep and seems to correlate pretty well with how I feel. My perception of sleep quality goes along with it as well. Unlike the Glasgow it varies tremendously across APAP, CPAP and ASV as well as night to night. I don't think its directly actionable, except to try to improve the overall quality of my sleep. There is a real difference the way I feel between 1 hour of steady breathing and 4 hours which is about the best I do.

Thanks mimollenkamp.
Which graph in OSCAR as you looking at when you are referring to the "steady breathing display" please?

Re: Seeking input on how I am going RE CPAP use
Hi again - actually sorry, I have realised it is the flow rate graph. How do you like your flow rate graph to look in OSCAR to feel that you have had a good night of sleep?

Steady breathing has to be enabled. You have to enable Permissive mode in the Clinical tab in preferences. Then you have to enable Steady Breathing event type in the Events tab. If you want to see it retroactively you have to rebuild CPAP data in the Data menu. If you google it there are youtubes on the process.
After that you should see steading breathing highlighted in pink, and an entry in the left panel summary for the percentage of time. Basically it indicates when breathing is regular, stable, and unobstructed. It was a feature of the Lowenstein machines but OSCAR can generate a display from Resmed machines.
