Upgrade to ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV?
I haven't kept up on the latest technology in regard to CPAP machines. Currently I have the ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV. Is there a newer machine that is incrementally better than what I have now, in terms of effective therapy and/or reporting? Thank you.

Re: Upgrade to ResMed AirCurve 10 ASV?
There is an Aircurve 11 ASV that is their newer platform of machines. The outside looks a lot like my Airsense 11 CPAP/APAP machine that I have had for several years. Aircurve 11 ASV is rated up to 9,870' elevation if you travel to Colorado or other high elevations. The Aircurve 10 ASV that you mention above is only rated up to 8,500'. From what I understand these machines automatically make setting adjustments at higher altitudes. Not sure if Aircurve 10 ASV auto adjusts beyond it's stated maximum in owner's manual.
I have read on other forums that newer Aircurve 11 ASV uses less power (watts) due to small motor but might sound louder at higher pressures. Wattage consumption might be important for power outages and/or camping where you power a machine overnight from a battery invertor source. With my Airsense 11 I have turned off humidifer function on camping trips to reduce wattage usage (a good workaround). I have read that some users prefer the Aircurve 10 ASV as it is a proven platform that is quieter and it has been reported a larger water basin (for humidity). Sometimes my Airsense 11 (same size water basin as Aircurve 11 ASV) will run dry overnight.
Interested to know what unit you end up with and why?
