mask impedes eyeglasses

Post by slcoop1234 » Thu Jan 08, 2026 1:54 pm

I was wearing a standard resmed mask in size medium but switched to size small. They both impeded my eyeglasses and I like to read or do crosswords before I fall asleep . I then started to use a different resmed mask is size small but i resulted in a lot more leakage. So I went back to the original mask and back to the same problem. Anyone else have this problem and any advice for a mask that works?

Why don't you list the specific masks your using"

If your going to say, "I was wearing a standard resmed mask....", then my only response can be "Try a non-standard mask"

There's no such thing. Res med offers at least a dozen different masks. All of them are "standard" for their particular specific features and intended use.

Sure. Go to ResMed's main mask webpage, scroll down to the "Choosing the best CPAP mask for you section", and look for something helpful like this:

Pick one or two that look promising, then click on the "helpful documents" link on their respective web pages for downloadable "sizing guide" PDF.

Personally, I'm a full-face mask kind of guy, and I really like the minimalist AirFit F40. I can put it on and/or take it off without removing my glasses. But that's no guarantee that it'll fit you, or that you'll like it too. Mask preference, fit, comfort, features, and efficacy are subjectively unique to individual users. That's why there are so many different models, and why there's no such thing as a "standard" CPAP mask.
