Just got a new Resmed Airsense 11. I’ve been on straight CPAP since 2006, set at 14 per my therapist from 2006. That setting has worked very well for me over the years, and I have 100% compliance. I started with an AEIOmed Everest 2, moved to a DeVilbiss IntelliPAP Standard set to constant pressure since I didn’t trust auto sense at the time.
With the Airsense, I decided to try to trust the auto sense this time. I set it to an 11-20 range (the default of 4-20 seemed way too iffy to me). I haven’t really dug into the Oscar analysis yet (I’m in a car at the moment), but it looks as if it stayed on 11 all night. It recorded 3.6 events per hour (original diagnosis had me at 41/hr).
When I woke up a little around 5am today, I could tell from the tickle in my throat that my snore started very lightly, which has not happened in that state for almost 20 years.
I’m pretty sure I want to change my range to 14-20. But I thought getting feedback from autosense veterans would be helpful.
Thoughts for an Airsense newbie?
New to autosense, would like advice

Just do it...You said you have been at 14 for 20 years without a problem.

If you get a free account at SleepHQ.com and paste the link in this thread, we can help you better. SHQ is easier to use, and members can zoom in on Events.

So I imported the data into OSCAR, and it looks as if the pressure indeed did go up when the events took place, just as it should. It went to just barely under 14 for most of them, and 14.68 for the few peaks later in the night. So my original diagnosis back in 2006 appears to still be pretty much accurate. I'm gonna change my range to 14.6-20. Thanks, everyone!
