Heart Valve Replaced
Hi all. 47M here and last year I had my aortic valve replaced with a graphite valve. I want to ensure I am taking care of my heart the best ways possible. Would someone mind having a look at my data? I feel I may be able to increase my minimum pressures. Thanks!

Re: Heart Valve Replaced
I would increase the minimum to 6 and take another look after one or two nights. Please stick to this one thread.

Hello, thanks for your help! Below is the data that includes the last two nights. Would you mind taking a look for me and suggest any changes? Thanks.

Re: Heart Valve Replaced
Your minimum pressure setting is 6. The machine doesn't spend much time there. Several times it increased the pressure to 12.
You could keep those settings since you are getting good therapy. However, many (most?) experienced users don't like a pressure swing of that much. You could change the minimum pressure to 8 and see how that goes.
Are you changing sleeping positions (back/sides) during the night?
Judge how your day went near bedtime. Did you have energy? Did you have excess sleepiness? Are you fatigued but not stressed near bedtime?

Thank you. I am a side sleeper and do move from side to side. Rarely am I on my back. I am exhausted most days by 7pm but that could be relate to the beta blocker rather than the CPAP therapy.

Typically, pressure requirements are higher on the back as compared to the sides. I was thinking the pressure peaks may have been when you rolled onto your back. In any case, CPAP is treating your apnea well.CanadaguySK wrote: ↑Thu Oct 16, 2025 12:14 pmI am a side sleeper and do move from side to side. Rarely am I on my back.

Thanks. I am going to bump up the minimum to 6. Would you mind if I posted the data in a week or so for another review?
